It all began in 1950 in a marketplace in Pakistan: Chauhdry Mohammed Shafi opened the "Mubarik Commission Shop" in the town of Pattoki. As a wholesaler, he bought cotton, sugar cane, rice, wheat, maize and rapeseed from local farmers to sell on to factories.

A successful model that his two sons took to the next level in Germany: in 1994, the brothers Chauhdry Mubarik Ahmad and Chauhdry Mohammed Ahmed founded the Berlin-based company "Chauhdry Food Traders" (CFT). They sourced the food directly from India, Pakistan and other Asian countries, supplying Indian and Asian restaurants in Berlin and the surrounding area as well as numerous retailers.

Over the next 15 years, the company developed step by step. It relocated three times and steadily increased both the number of customers and employees. Since 2009, CFT has been supplying wholesalers and retailers as well as restaurants, hotels and production facilities throughout Europe. Healthy growth that continues today from Saatwinkler Damm in Berlin.

After almost 30 years in the business, CFT knows the market and knows how to serve it: The comprehensive range extends from spices, pulses, rice, flour and meat to special drinks and typical furnishings for the local gastronomy. Customers can select and buy the products on site at the sales premises in Berlin-Charlottenburg - but they can also order them and have them delivered.

Our mission is therefore to constantly develop the quality of Asian products and food internationally, always with the aim of achieving the highest possible standards. By continuing to drive this forward, we want to create a worthy monument to the continued existence of our family business and its values day after day." - H. Ahmad (grandchild).

A milestone on this path is the title of best importer, for which Chauhdry Food Traders GmbH was honored with the REAP Award.
